NSR stands for Read, Recognise, Respond, the three capacities that define a somatic practitioner who genuinely knows what they are doing and why.
Most training programmes teach you what to do with the body. NSR teaches you how to listen to it first. The body communicates through posture and tissue, through the quality of breath, through the patterns that stay no matter how much a person stretches or works out or tries to relax. It communicates through the nervous system state that underlies every other presentation.
When you learn to read those signals accurately, when you can recognise which part of the nervous system is running the show, your work becomes something else entirely. Not a series of techniques applied to a body. A response to what is actually there.
That is what NSR trains. And once you can do it, you cannot unsee it.
