There are many reasons to try this delicious, easy to make chia seed pudding.

Chia seeds are rich in fibre, which helps keep you fuller for longer and does wonders for your gut health. In fact 80% of the carbohydrate content of chia seeds come from fibre.

These tiny seeds are from the chia plant, native to Mexico and Guatemala. They truly do make for a delicious breakfast or dessert.

Chia seeds are rich in many beneficial nutrients, including the mighty Omega 3 fatty acids, otherwise known as the good fats. They are also a good source of manganese, which is essential for metabolism.



-1/2 cup chia seeds

-2 cups of milk of choice

-4 teaspoons vanilla bean paste

If you prefer to just make one serving:

-2 tablespoons chia seeds

-1/2 cup of milk

-1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste


-Mix the above ingredients very well in a bowl. Cover and store in the fridge between 1hr to overnight. The longer you leave it to soak, the thicker the consistency.

-Once ready, give it a good stir and serve with the following toppings:


-1 heaped tablespoon of pomegranate seeds + 1 teaspoon of crushed pistachios

-1 cup raspberries + 1 teaspoon pumpkin seeds

-1/2 small banana + 1 teaspoon crushed walnuts + a sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)

or you can make your toppings, combining a fruits with nuts/ /seeds/ nut butter.
